Feat
- Nightly average. Each night your points are totaled and divided by games played, so playing more games can lower your score for the night.
- Two lowest weeks dropped. Your final score is your best five weeks plus 0.5 per achievement.
- Finals eligibility. At least 5 games across the 7 weeks.
- Tiebreakers. Total wins, then most games played.
Ties & draws
- Simultaneous eliminations: whoever started that turn at higher life places higher.
- Same life total: the tied players split the points for those places (tied for 3rd/4th = 1.5 each). In the game form, give both players the same place.
- A true draw (no way for the game to progress): all remaining players split the remaining points — mark each of them 1st.
Recording games
- Record every game before the end of play on league night. Two players from the pod must confirm.
- “Just for fun” games are allowed with any legal deck, but must be declared before the game starts. They earn no points or achievements.
- Disputes go to a commissioner before the next week's play begins. After that, scores are locked.
Game rules
- Pods start with 4 players unless a commissioner approves otherwise.
- London Mulligan with one free mulligan. 40 life, 21 commander damage.
- Scooping only on your own turn with an empty stack, or at the end step of an opponent's extra turn.
Decks
- Budget is total deck value (commander included, basics excluded) using Moxfield's TCGPlayer pricing with “Update to Cheapest”. No single-card cap.
- 100 cards, no sideboard. Decklists are public. Proxy friendly — printed, legible, sleeved over a real card.
- Upgrades: tag added cards
#upgradeon Moxfield and submit to a commissioner by 5:00 PM on the night the new cap starts. - Banned: everything banned in Commander, plus Sol Ring.
- Commanders can't be in EDHREC's top 100 of the last 2 years. Previous budget league winners are banned as commanders (fine in the 99):Vorel of the Hull Clade · Kamiz, Obscura Oculus · Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief · Grenzo, Dungeon Warden · Tayam, Luminous Enigma · Gut, True Soul Zealot + Inspiring Leader · Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient · Pako, Arcane Retriever + Haldan, Avid Arcanist
